The other day I was riding and i killed my 400..Tried to start it but no light in the neutral light. I knocked around on the battery and cylenoid area and it worked fine. Then did the same thing a little bit later and wont start at all now unless I roll start it. I check the fuses and the battery and most of the connecions. Could it be a bad cylenoid?

i have the same problem. i figured out that i have to hold my negitive wire agenst the battery:p ...so maybe its somthing like that?

Check and clean the battery connections and make sure they are tight. Also make sure you didn't get any other connections wet.

Take the cables off the solenoid and clean them too.

I cleaned all the connections but somethin tells me its the cylenoid. Can I switch my cylenoid out with the one on my Honda Fourtrax 300 to test it? Is it the same one?

Go to service honda or yamaha of troy, they both have online fiches, check the part #'s
