i went to tighten my chain today and realized that the ((cant think of its name, but its the thing you turn to tighten the chain)) wont go down any further and my chain still isnt tight enough. what do i need to do?


p.s. im new so..... hey

its called the carrier and you probably need to lose a link and losen up the carrier so it will fit the smaller chain

your ganna need to take a link out, you wont find a master link though so dont waste a day looking for it. Get out the ol- hand grinder and grind 2 pins off then pop a link out and buy a masterlink. putr the master link on and lossen up your carrier.......problem solved

Taking out some links is one option, but if the quad is older you might just want to look in to a new chain.

Yep:) Along with new sprockets;) You should always replace the cahin and sprockets as a set.

Yea either buy a new chain or take some links out of your chain.
