Carbon Fiber isnt all its "cracked" up to be

This is what happens when you hit a warrior in 2nd gear with the gay stock bumper. I dono if it is repair able

That definitely blows the big one doesn't it? Believe me, I know your pain. Brand new Quad Tech CF airscoops and tank cover: 1st wreck of the season I bend my stem pretty bad and it comes back into the tank cover, cracking it up real nice. One scoop was cracked a bit too from stress. I don't really worry about it because what's done is done. It's not cracked all the way through. Most of the time its just the clear lacquer coating on top of the CF that cracks and the CF matrix stays intact. In your case, it looks to be cracked all the way through. CF really isn't all that repairable. I feel your pain.....:(

Only imagine if that was regular plastics. Although, regular plastics are a bit cheaper than the Quad Tech's... Sorry to hear though.

That's why we quit using carbon fiber and went back to plastic hoods -cheaper and last longer! Tired of paying 180.00 for Quadtech and no warrenty!

I never thought of that, simply because of the fact that I don't have a Quadtech hood. I've considered it before, but that's good enough of a reason not to buy one. Seems like the tip of the scoop would be the 1st part of the hood to go in a rollover.
