no,the stock 400ex only makes about 28hp or so,thats still about 5.5hp less than a z400,the extra cc you have wont make much difference..:(

well my standard bore 400ex with an 11:1 wiseco and a stage 1 hotcam outrun a piped Z, both stock gearing, both 20inch tires. I pull bottom,mid and top!

should beable to atleast keep up,,, ive seen a piped 400ex vs a stock Z400 and it was close like 1 quad legnth
