Well i got a trx 450r off ebay it had a bunch of extras with it also this is the description and here are the pictures i pick it up monday!! :D :D :D

You are bidding on a 2004 Honda TRX 450R. The inside of the motor has never been touched, and there is still 3 years left on the warranty. The quad has an LRD Full Exhaust System, a K & N air filter, and it has been jetted. It has AC Pro-peg nerf bars with red netting, an AC mud screen bumper, and Pro Taper fat bars with a red pad cover in the middle. The Duncan Racing graphics kit really makes it stand out. The quad has Eyeball Engineering fully adjustable up to +4 A-Arms, along with a fully adjustable +4 G-force Axle on the rear of the quad. The brake lines on the front have been replaced with braided lines. The rear wheels are T-9 Aluminum race wheels with 18X9.5X8 Turf Tamers on them. The front has Douglas .190 wheels with 19X6X10 holeshots on them. I also have a set of 18in. Fast Trekker tires on Douglas .190 wheels to go with quad. I also have all stock parts to go with it. This quad is ready to race!!

This bike has been well maintained, has low hours on it, and is serviced regularly. It has been garaged since new.

Looks like some kid was trying to make it as wide as possible. Not good. Don't jump anything like that. I wouldn't be surprised if it broke on the first jump. It probably wont bend the a-arms but your ball joints are def. going to snap. Don't take it to a shop you can do it your self and save the money. It's real easy. Take the pin out of the ball joint and take them out of the hole. Now loosen the nut that holds them in place all the way till you hit the ball joint. Screw the ball joint in till it wont go anymore. You may have to back off a little to get it to line back up with the hole. Re-insert and put the pin back in. Repeat on all four a-arms and your done. Check to make sure the wheels look straight when your done. You may have to adjust one or two of the ball joints to make the tires sraight.

yeah i think that is what he was trying to do, i was looking and the bolt that screws in the a-arm is not screwed in all of the way it can be screwed even further is that what you mean?? i mean like i can stick my finder in and feel like half of an inch space. do i just screw it untile it is all plush?

also can i do that and still keep some width?

450rrider#55

Yes. The bolt is attached to the ball joint. You want to screw it in until it meets the a-arm. As far as keeping some width I personaly wouldn't trust it screwed out any especialy if you are jumping or ridiing over rough stuff fast. You might want to call eyeball enigineering and see what they have to say about that. Ball joints aren't that expensive to replace but where will you be when it breaks. It just wouldn't be safe in my opinion.

kawasaki_ridah
04-12-2005, 09:45 PM
yeah i agree i talked to them for alittle while they said to let it meet perfect and it would still be +2 also how do i get my tires to do like this / \ cause alot of ppl told me to set them like that they said it helps with cornering

450rrider#55

You just have to leave the top ball joint out a little further than the bottom. This use to be real popular but everyone is getting away from it. Again you run into a safety issue with this because it weakens the top ball joint and eventually breaks.

If your talking about the cotter pin that keeps it from backing off your local hardware should have them. Try Lowes or Home Depot.

yea definitly adjust those ball joints before you ride, that wouldnt be good, other than that i think the maier hood that i told you about, and a pro design or pro armour kill switch would finish it off. www.magicracing.com has the hoods and should have the kill switch too. im still a sucker for turf tamers :D

04-15-2005, 09:54 AM
okay i will pick up a pin today, the arms have alittle slack in them only on the uppers tho is that so it can move or are they suppose to pretty tight? cause i need to tighten them if your not suppose to have any i can maybe move them about 3-5 milimeters

Where is the slack? If it's where they attach to the tire it should be ok. The ball joint has to be free to move around with the movement of the tire. Once you take them out to adjust them you will see what I'm talking about. If your still unsure take them to the honda dealer and ask them to look at them for you they shouldn't charge anything if nothing is wrong with them.

it is up where the frame attaches

Could be the a-arm bushings. Can't say for sure without seeing it. They are supposed to move some but the bushings should be changed every year or so. Get someone to look at it that would know for sure or use your best judgement. Wouldn't hurt to change the bushings if you have the money. I tried to pm you back but your mailbox is full.
