new to ATV's

Hi there, thinking about getting into ATV's, have boated and snowmobiled for years.
Interested in just fun riding, no ute stuff for me, strictly having fun on trails and in the muck.
I'm interested in your opinions on the better ATV's out there.
I ride an 800cc Ski-Doo all winter, it's almost time to put it away, what do you think would be a good, dependable, tough, nimble ATV for me ?? I'd like a true 4x4 for our rugged terrain up here..

umm you forgot honda...It depends on what you like and need- for bigger utilities I'd check out the Rubicon, King Quad, and Grizzly. If your looking for something a little smaller I'd look at the Kodiak 450, Foreman, and Rancher

Id say Honda...

Yamaha, and Kawasaki, Suzuki wont be bad choices either. But IMO stay away from Arctic Cat, and Polaris.

if you wanna 4x4 get a arctic cat 500i my friend had one it was fun to ride

the arctic cat 500 manual shift is supposedly pretty badass in the mud...most of my riding buddies now ride utilities (my friend ben whose house our mx and xc tracks were at is in rehab now and his dad wont let us ride there anymore :( ) ...one has a rubicon, the other one is a rich kid who totaled his brand new king quad at Hatfield this winter...I get through more stuff on my 400 than he does on his 700 4x4! I like them both though.

Hondas and Yamaha are probably your best bet.But Like Sportrax said stay away from POO and the Artic cats.

Yea, you forgot Honda. If you have to have a utility quad, I would check out the biggest honda you can find. But the best choice would probablly be a Kawasaki brute force 750. If you like really fast snowmobiles, then I would really check out a sport quad, I think they are a lot more fun to ride than utility's.
