300ex gas mileage?

i am suppsoe to be goin on a trail ride for quads,and its a pretty far ride and no gas stations between.anyone know about how far i could get with a 2.2 tank?:confused:

I've done 45-60 with ease. It depends on how you ride. Strap a gas can to the grab bar if you're unsure.

30 miles should be fine. I can do that on my 400.

If worse comes to worse you can get an oversized gas tank from IMS or other companies but 30 miles should be fine for a 300ex. The mojave used usually gets 40-50+ miles on a tank.

on my old 300 i could go about 60 miles on one tank using reserve. this was on a trail ride with some fst spots and aome playing on hills and in the mud a little too.

You should be fine, I've gone much more than 30 miles on a tank with my old 300ex. Mainly it all depends on the trails you are riding, and how much you are on the gas. I've been on trails that I would rarley be in 3rd gear, and I went through a tank and part of the reserve in about 15-20 miles, Other times, I have been riding all day, like 6, 7 hours, and have not even touched the reserve.
