Change the oil and filter. Then turn the gas off and run it until there is no more gas left in the float bowl. You can then either drain the gas or put some sort of thing that will make it last long. I can't remember the name right now. You are probably better off draining it because the gas won't be very good after a month even with that stuff in it. Lube everything down with wd-40 to make everything not rust and block your air intake because sometimes animals go in there and make a nice nest. Cover it also and keep it out of direct sunlight. I think that is it.

Have a fun time in Spain.

also a good idea to elevate the quad so the tires will remain nice and round. if they set too long, the rubber could get out of its natural shape. also, the for the gas, if you don't want to drain, use a stabilizer like what is used for lawnmowers, boats, etc. for storing during the winter. personally, i wouldn't worry about draining the gas if i was only going to be gone a month. just my opinion though...good luck...

if you are only going to be gone a month then just raise the tires off the ground! you dont have to mess with the gas for only a month i mean my god how many times has a quad sat for 3 weeks cause you just got too busy! it happens no big deal id leave that alone and just get the tires up off the ground! if you maybe gone like 3 months then yes do a little preventative maintanence, fuel stabilizer or something but not for only a month!

That would be MEU'ex, right? Have fun, Puerto Rico is beautiful if you get off the ship. I've been around and they have the best beaches I've ever seen, except for maybe the topless ones in Greece. :p

A MEU ex is one of the short floats you do on your work up for your six month deployment, I just thought that's what you were doing down there. I wasn't on ship either, spent it all in the field. :p
