400ex fenders on the 300ex

Can anyone tell me if the 400ex tank will fit the 300ex frame? There were a few people on here that did the conversion of the front fenders, would they be so kind to tell me just what parts I need to trim, and how much? Thank you all in advance for your time!

they will fit but you have to do some weird modding to the plastics....????
