400ex vs ltz400

in a drag race who would win if the ltz was stock and the 400 had an full hmf pipe, stage 2 hotcam and new piston. i think the ex would but my friend still thinks his ltz would take me.

well my buddy has a Z with pipe filter and no lid. My 400 has a wiseco 11:1 a hotcam stage 1, filter, slip-on and no lid. I pull him from bottom to top and he cant even catch me in top speed now. We both have stock gearing and 20" rear tires. He does weigh more than me, but I even pulled him riding double on the lake, so he cant say anything now.

If both bikes were stock the Z-400 would win, but a lot depends on the rider. Out of the box the Z-400 is faster, but your talking about adding a stage 2 hot cam, full exhaust, and a performance piston. Of course the 400ex should win with all that done, however the rider has alot to do with it.

i raced a kid down the road with my ex with a full yoshi pipe stage 2 hot cam and K&N. i beat him pretty good. i didnt know him he was just ridin up and down the road and my buddy tells me to race him i did it was clear that i beat him and he rides up to us and hes like dude what is that like a 250ex or a 300? i told him no its a 400 and he says oh thats why its so slow. i startin laughin and my buddy says dude he just kick ur ***** in that race. he said he wasnt goin full out so we lined them up and i killed him agian this time he didnt come back. i will almost guarentee you win unless ur a really poopy rider
