I have a Dr. D exhaust on my R and I have no idea on the jetting for it... I am probably going to open up the airbox a little.. any ideas...:confused: :confused:

try a 170 or 175 main

If you leave the box lid on, It's a easy bolt on only pipe. I did this with mine, and I'm not sure if I'm going to put on the HRC kit or not. My Dr.D made a HUGE difference with just the slip-on! I still run the stock lid, filter, and 118 main jet. They recommend the HRC or Sparks needle when you re-jet and take off the lid. Mine runs dead even with my buddy's HRC kitted '04 with a DR.D. So, I don't see the need to put on the HRC! I may try thr '02 CRF cam later.

ok. Well. get a HRC needle,180 main jet. take off air lid.Done it.. Dr.d says not to re jet. but you WILL be runnin hot and lean. i know you will be runnin lean n hot. Tried without jetting. the fan turned on, when the bike was idleing. So almost a must to re jet.

I run a DrD with a cut lid 185 main

If your gonna leave the lid on i think the 118 will run a little lean ,Id probably go to a 120

IS that the only mod you have done? just a cut lid and Dr. D no engine work right.. Did you move the clip anywhere on the needle?

Clip it on the 3rd clip. or 4th. 180- 185 main jet will be fine, be sure to take off lid. or else it'll run way too rich.

No i run a stage2 hotcam also ,but for your set up WITH a cut lid a 180 to 185 will run nice,,it only takes 5 mins. to change a main,run one then the other and compare the 2,,leave your needle on the 3rd(stock)
