Replace 400ex head stud with bolt

Two of my head studs are stripped and I was wondering if It would be a bad idea to drill the holes bigger tap them and put regular bolts in place of the studs.

you can get a HD stud kit. BIGGER studs. drill the hole and retap. if you put normal bolts and take then out a couple time you will strip those to. With studs you can take the motor apart and not have to remove the studs.

You can't go wrong with this kit. I had a stock bolt to strip also on my 435 & had this kit put in.:)

Same kit I have. I got the FDO studs from Extreme Tec-ATV--(419)947-9208. Jeff is a real stand up guy. Took care of me!!!
