just the other day i was riding pretty hard on the track and all of the sudden my quad starts sputturing when it gets high in rpm... loaded it up went home cleaned it and put new spark plug in it and its still doin it. its got a rev limit kit and jet kit..... any ideas why this is happening.... this is the first time it started doin this. kits have been installed for a while

usually when it sputters on top end it is the jetting ..its too rich maybe it has some dirt in it. if it just started doing it ...

i would just do a good cleaning of the carb/airfilter/airbox/boots/ect.. IF you have the time that is. when i get problems like that (when i know it's carb related) i just do that cleaning and it always takes care of the problem.

is there a way to clean inside the carb without taking it off the quad? i know this is a dumb ? but just wondering..... thanks

well.... not really. when im talking about isnt in the least bit hard. just take off the carb, take off the float bowl, clean the float bowl and clean the jets. easy. and 99% of the time is solves your carb problems (when you already have your carb dialed in that is)

you may have to go with leaner jetting with the temp getting warmer and all.sounds like its running rich and loading up on top on you.;)
