i just re-jetted my carb for my 400ex to a 155 and it runs alright but now i need to know what to change my screw to and how to do maybe a link or some good information thanks

what mods are on the bike, what elevation you at, what temperature you ride in??

i have an 04 400ex with an white bros e-series slip on, k and n with outerware w/out lid and a 155 main jet put in.

Does your pipe backfire at all after you hold it wide open then let off? If its a real loud gun shot bang, its either because your exhaust has a leak, or your fuel screw is too lean.

If I were you I'd at least turn your fuel screw 3 turns out from seated.

Also, have you done any plugs checks?

actually my bike runs really good, its just that i heard you are sopose to change all these settings once you mod your bike.

Curtis Sparks recommends a 155/45 combination. Also you can check out www.hondaex.com/techtips/carb101.htm.

alright, after taking my bike to the dunes this weekend i think i need to change something i just dont know what. when i go up big hills my bike tends to not take advantage of the high rpms and kinda lug out. seems like it is a fuel screw or needle problem to me. I just dont konw to raise or lower the needle or what to do with the fuel screw????

your jetting sounds good to me depending on your elevation your at. i think you just need more motor! :D
