jetting issue

i just put a hmf ballance edition slip-on and a pro design foam filter . no lid on my 450r . im running a 185 jet . it does fine except for if its idling and you crack it wide open . it dies . any help please

id try playing with the mixture screw a little that may help

I have an LRD slip-on 180 main, bottom clip on the needle, 48 pilot, 2 1/2 turns out, with uni filter and open box. I just put it in this weekend and have the same problem

try a smaller main jet.

i had tried a 178 first and had the same problem should i try a smaller one then that

mine is cutting out just right around 1/2 throttle, wouldnt that be the needle. It is fine between 3/4 and full.

All of you need to up the pilot to a 50. And raise the needle one richer.

rc51450riders clip is already down in the last position on the needle. We tried going up a clip and it made it worse. I suggested the pilot to him as it is still stock size, but I dont think the pilot reallly plays a role at 1/2 throttle does it? He has an LRD slip-on. UNI filter w/o lid. We started with 180main and moved the clip on the needle down to the last slot. Also put the mixture screw out two turns from bottomed. Should we try adjusting the screw out more, or is it the needle like he suggested? Thanks

i have a 50 or 51 pilot jet ill install and try. ill let you guys know what happens . thanks for your help

solved my problem . went back down to a 178 main and then played with air screw adjustment . its probably about 1 1/2 turns out . seems to be running great . first test ride will be saturday .
