I bought a cam from ebay. It is supposed to be a white brothers, but the only part number the guy says it has is 7eht, I called w.b. and they never heard the #. I am starting to think it is a stock cam and I am going to be highly p.o.ed with the guy. Iwas wondering if anyone had a stock cam out if they could look to see if it had these numbers or if anyone knew what cam it is. I am trying to find out so I'll know whether to get rocker arms and springs. Like I said, the # is 7eht. Thanks

I'll kill him, not really, but I would be mad. I looked up the part number and it didn't match, but it did sound like a honda number.

show us some pics, that will help us determine,, most cams dont use the decompression mechanism on the end,,
WTF would you buy an unknown part from an unknown source?????
Buy the part from a respectable shop and don't take the chance, unless you like dealing with Junk parts..... Just a suggestion.

Maybe cause I can get it for 1/3 the price and I don't have a ton of money to blow on parts. Yea, I should have researched a little more before I bought it, but to late now. I just asked for a little info from someone, not for you to smart off bout it.

I have a hot cam stage in my hand and that's whats engraved
on it. If it had EHT it would be a stage2.

Well I really hope you are right, atleast I hope that what's on the cam. Atleast I feel a little better about it now. I know stage one is for mx and top end, so how much bottom will I lose?

Stage 1 is for low end grunt and trails.
Stage 2 is for mid to high rpm's.

wilkin250r, you are piling now. I think he realizes his mistake and is trying to salvage any good that can come out of the situation.

Well actually they are both for top-end its just that the stage 2 actually loses bottom so people just say that stage 1 is for bottom, when actually stage 1 is if you dont want to lose any bottom. This is why Hotcams came out with the new grinds on the stage 2 and bumped the stage 2 to stage 3.

Thanks bleedred, like I said earlier, I am trying to do a little more to my bike without putting a crapload of money because I have a lot more bills than my 400, I am sure ppl can relate to that. I called hotcams and they said it could be theirs but I will have to call them back when I have it in front of them. And one way I look at it is everynow and then you are gonna get burnt, used parts or not. I might as well take it and go and hope for the best.
