I gave one of the Mass State Parks a shot this past weekend - Georgetown-Rowley State Forest in Northeastern Massachusetts. The DEM website claimed only 5 miles of legal trails but we rode for over 2 hours and didn't hit all the trails.

Its not a full day of riding but it was some cool trails and there was not a ton of people. I highly recommend it for a nice 3 or 4 hour ride and its not to far from me...

As long as you are registered in Mass you can play!

Directions -

Exit 54 off Route 95 (after the 128 seperation for those coming from the south). Follow 97 North/West to Pingree Farm Road (on the right hand side). Note that we drove around for 45 minutes looking for this. No one in town seemed to know where it was. Once on 97 West from 95 you go a couple of miles. If you pass the huge nursury on your left you have gone too far. Its about a quarter mile back on the left...

Parking is horrible but the entrance is as the end of Pingree Farm Road - park where ever you can but PLEASE do not block anyones driveway...

Give it a try - its about 90 minutes from the RI/MASS line...
