review of my race yesterday

well i had my first race yesterday, and i finished 4th and i was very dissappointed in myself. :grr: anyway, i was 5th goin into the first turn, and 3rd coming out. i quickly passed a yfz to move into 2nd and then i started charging for the leader on a z. i tried passing but i just could not get around him, and after a lap or so i was chargin into the corner hard with 2 yfzs on my tail and i catch a dirtbike rut and i 2 wheel into the corner and both yfzs pass me :mad: (talk about being MAD) i start charging and both yfzs had passed the z by now and i kept tryin to make my move but just could not get by no matter how much i powered out the turn... so i finished 4th for the day out of 8 riders.. im not happy wiht my finish and im gonna try harder for the next race.. anyway heres some pics for yall to look at

i agree, 4th is good, and look at what your up against, the dreaded 450s

if i were you i would be happy with how good you did in the holeshot...even staying with the 450's on a 300 ex is incredible...that means ur an awesome rider and just imagine how much faster you could be on something with more power then a 450...my friend raced a 300 ex last year and he was a good rider the same as you he just simply got out powered but this year hes got a 250R but we havent raced yet...the better rider will always come out on top

You are mad because you got 4th out of 8???:huh AND you are racing against 450's??:huh You did great!!! When I had my first race I got 9th out of 10!!! I was happy as hell that I did not get last place!!! Trust me!!! you are talented! You will get yourself a win any day now!! Keep up the good work!!!

well i know i should be happy, but it just sucks how i was trying to make the move to make 1st, and then later i messed up on one turn and lost 2 positions :scary:

edit- it wasnt my first race, just the first race of this season, last season was my first year racing, this is my 2nd year, im 15 years old.

things like that will always happen...when your out there all you need to do is concentrate on yourself and how your riding and only the person infront of you...if your in lets say 5th place and your concentrating on only getting to the 1st place person...most likely your not concentrating enough and you will mess up...you want to concentrate on one person at a time and the better off you will be....keep me posted on your next race i would like to hear how you do

4th out of how many bikes? i counted 5. what class did you race?
winning, or placing top 3 every weekend is something that takes time and practice.

there was 8 quads total, that holeshot only showed the 5 of us, there was 3 more quads behind us, i will show you the pics of them when i get home, i have a race this coming saturday, so i guess i'll have another report about it if ya'll want me to?

that last quad is the only other quad around the same size cc as my quad, last year it was only our cc's, this year they're all in our class. the last quad was having problems with his chain
