Stock 300EX and 400EX Bearing Carrier

Are the stock bearing carriers for a 300EX and the 400EX the same? I had a bearing go out on my 300EX and was out in the middle of nowhere and rode it back. When I did this I damaged the bearing carrier. I have access to a stock 400EX carrier so I am wondering if it will work.

i'm not sure if the carrier is the same. i know the stock bearings will work on 300ex or 400ex

they are 100% different the bearings are the same...but the carrier itself is different...if you want a new carrier...go on ebay and get a radmfg bearing carrier for a 300ex...i bought 1 for my 400ex....159.00 shipped to my front door im VERY pleased with it...comes with dual row bearings....its worth it in the end...all you do is slap the carrier in there, put the axle thru, put the rearend back together....put some grease in the carrier...and your ready to ride...my 400ex carrier has a remote grease zerk on the outside near the sprocket so you dont have to take the carrier out to grease the bearings...aftermarket carriers are worth it

this is the same guy i got my carrier from....he aint got a 300ex carrier listed right now...but keep an eye on his ebay page he will list 1 within the next couple of days...
