do the elka's work well on the 300ex? Are they worth the money? I was going to get some with piggyback rezzies. Later

Let me answer for marty. I read it in another post. Its a raptor rear shock in the back and he put a 400ex spring on it.

Rear Raptor shock and rear 300ex shock is the same lenght and uses the same bolt pattern.Sometimes theres alot of weld build up you have to grind on the frame where the shock mounts up.The raptor shock is fulladjustable and much better than the 300ex.

its also rebuildable. the shocks worked great at my first race but i might be able to mess with it and get it even better. you can get a raptor rear shock on ebay for cheap, but get the first year raptors because the rez can be moved around. the newer ones are stationary. i dont think you need the 400 spring but i'm a lite guy so me and marty decided to try it and it works great.
