Buying new tires, need feed back on which to get.
I ride mx going with 20's for front and 18 for rear on 8 inch rim.
Need tire that will do good for hardpack as well as some soft pack and sometimes some soft corners.
Kenda Klaws or Razrs?

I actually spoke with the national sales manager from Kenda and he agreed with what Jeff@thequadshop always says; go with Kenda Knarly's.

Hard decision. I've never rode on a set of Razr's, but I'm not really liking the klaws too much. Traction is little to none in softpack, and almost too much in hardpack, theres not really a comprimise where they are good. I'm going to go back to either some holeshot MX's, or Razr MX.

actually razr makes two different mx tires

they are the same except the compound

if you ever get your hands on some of the sticky compound you will never ride anything else
maxxis doesnt sell them to the average joe

i had a buddy get mine and they are BAD

but wear down super fast

but when your after a championship whats a back tire to stop you

He said go with Knarly's as opposed to Klaws. I sure hope he wouldn't say go with Razr's!

I would go for the kenda knarly mxr. I have the XC knarly and it hooks up very well, and has a predictable slide.

I was wondering the same thing^^...but out of those 2 I'm not sure but I know my MXR-4's hook up great.

Ive ridden on turf tamers, holeshots, razr's, shredders, dominators, and my latest pick has been the klaws. They are hands down the best tire's Ive ever had. They slide predictably, hook up extremely well and overall seem very balanced. I highly recommend them. I liked the razr's when I had them but they like to spin more in the loose stuff it seemed.

Out of those go with the Kenda's. They wear faster than the razrs but the traction is way better. I was riding in snow and the difference between the razrs and the kendas were unreal. So I would imagine they hook up pretty good on the track.

i have both tires, i love my klaws, they have yet to let me down. The razrs are a good tire to, but i have found that where i ride (sand, loose dirt) the klaws grip better. the razrs grip great on hardpack.
