Went to go for a ride yesterday and put the choke on, started it up fine in nuetral no clutch. Started ok and died after a few seconds like normal when the bike is cold. Air temp was around 80. Did the same 3 or 4 times and then wouldn't start at all. Finally just pulled the clutch in and it fired right away and ran fine. Kinda weird! Any ideas?

you need to replace the clutch all the wiring and put in a new piston and cylinder.

Does the neutral light come on? You should be able to start it in neutral without clutch.
I had this problem on my old 400. I think the wiring somewhere was somehow messed up:confused:
