i have a buddy with a 2000 blaster. lately when we go riding it makes a clatering sound like the motor is going to fall out. anyone have this problem or now someone that has.

It sounds like something might be loose or broke internally. It could be anything I would take to a shop and have them listen to it.

Its a two stroke they all sound like that. :p

ya when i had my blaster it made the same noise,then i brought it to the shop and my top end was going, so i rebiult it and got a 400ex

dang straight!!

but yea take it to a yamaha dealer if u cant find out the problem

i wouldnt take it to the shop, its a yamaha it WILL break again in no time. tell him to sell it to a die hard yamaha guy and buy a used 400ex. he will NOT regret it.
