I ordered the Wiseco 440 big bore kit, the FMF powerbomb header and all this is going on later this week coming.

Which jets will I need?

I currently have the HMF slip-on and the UNI air filter.

Maryland / Chesapeake Bay Area

you probably won't need to change the mainjet as long as your right on the mainjet now.

HMF reccomends a 170 for their slip-on...i run a 168 with my lid on and a stock pilot with the needle in the stock position. You should be ok anywhere between 165 and 175, depending on whether or not you run your airbox lid.

you will hear different specs from different people. i have heard HMF say a few things. i know they always said to go with a larger mainjet but recently i have been hearing them say a 152 or 155 for a piped 400ex. what other mods are on the bike? what elevation you at?

I run a 175mj and a 48pj on 110 octane vp fuel with the airbox lid removed.

you gonna get a cam? a big bore kit is kinda worthless without a cam. the cam will wake the bike up alot more, and your money will be justified. You can get cams that don't require hardwelded rockers, or even get a xr400 cam, is quite a bit better than a stock 400ex.
