If i buy +2 arm for my 40ex, will my ohlins work or will i need long travel?

as long as the a-arms are standard travel and not long travel they will work.

If the Ohlins are currently set up for your weight, riding style and stock a-arms they may be too soft for the +2's.

the only way to know is to try them. if you have compression
adjustability you can harden them up that way. if not you can always change the springs to your riding style which would be a cheap fix compared to buying new shocks.
