not possible to do. ONLY a 250r 85-89 motor is a drop in. And also I shoud add, any other motor, besides a 350x motor would be a waste of time too, new breed fourstroke motors won't fit in a stock chassis without alot of work, a 400ex motor will fit with out much problem.

how much would u have to do to fit a 400ex motor in the 250r frame?? Is it just changing the motor mounts and dropping it in or more than that???

sell the 250r frame and buy a used 400ex frame. u would prolly be money ahead, plus you wouldnt hafta hack up a good 250R frame. and you wouldnt hafta listen to peeple like me call you bad things for hacking up a perfectly good 250R frame.

I don't think there are any motors that you can drop in by just changing brackets. I'm pretty sure any motor other than a 250r will involve cutting and welding of the frame.

I would just find another 250r motor for it.
