Please give more info. If its not your computer I would call the internet company. Have them run a few things over with you. What kind of computer, computer specs, and internet do you have??

Well my dad has dial up and everytime you pick up the phone or if someone tries to call the internet wont work. Try calling Walmart and see if they have a solution or a problem on there end. It could also be your lan card but I doubt it. We have a compact to. Ill look and see if there are any known problems or updates for the computer.

customer support is at 1-888-855-0942.

Oh also I know a common problem. Like on ours (when we had dial up) If you stay connected to the same website for 15 min it will automatically disconnect you. Maby it could be that??

ok also if you do this step to make sure it doesent auto disconnect.

Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet Options.
Click the Connections tab, click your Dial-Up Networking connection, and then click Settings.
Under Dial-up Settings, click Advanced then look for something about disconnecting in there.

Wal-Mart internet sux. I would recommend looking for a new provider first. Their software hasn't done anything but mess up computers from what I have seen.

nebjamin's advice is irrelevant, because you use Walmart Connect's software to dial into them.

Are you idle when it knocks you off, or are you browsing? Are you using Internet Explorer or Walmart Connect's browser? If you stop using their browser for 15 minutes it will probably disconnect you.

You can try a program that will send packets every 3 minutes or so that will make your connection appear to be active. Link (http://www.download.com/Stay-Live-2000/3000-2155_4-10349287.html?tag=lst-0-1)

If you ever get a different ISP, stay away from Netzero and Juno, they are likely to be just as bad or worse.

Actually that is what I was referring to. But I thought he was still using ordinary internet say like earthlink where the web browser and everything is the same?
