does anyone have this on there 400?and how much improved braking power is it over stock 400ex calipers?thanks

i had the 250r rear caliper on my 400, it was a big improvement over stock plus it is much smaller in diameter, i parted out the 400 and i'm putting the 250r rearend on my yfz, on the front just get new pads, stainless lines and new rotors and they will be as good as 450r brakes, or just buy the 450r stuff, the spindles and calipers are cheaper than just the adapters for the 250r calipers, check out service honda for the 450r setup, all you need is the complete front caliper assembly, spindles and brake pads, the hubs are the same

what is needed for the rear caliper?does it bolt right up?

You need a 250r brake stay, caliper, rotor hub and rotor (I just use a 250r anti fade makes everything a lot easier instead of the 250r rotor hub and locknut). You may also need a shorter brakeline depending what you have now.
