400ex Vs Z 400

what is a better quad i have a suzuki 400 love the suzki. I saw a 400ex the other day and was wounder what was all around better

i like the ex better. ex has better factory torque and that's what i wanted for my kind of riding.

you can do a search on '400ex versus z400' and find a lot of info.

the z400 it a little top heavy but its faster then the ex. the ex has better handling but its slower and its a honda. the z 400 has reverse but the older ex's dont. if i were to buy one id would get the one that has better dealer support cuase there pretty much equal.:)

the z400 is a better bike overall. it likes higher rpm's while the ex pulls throughout. the z400 has more power, speed and i would say better handling but the ex could fit some people better

personaly I think that the ex is better. it has better torque than the z400. the z400 has more top speed but were u going to go top speed on a track. the ex sits lower alittle witch there it handles better. its all in ur taste but i think u should get the ex

most defiantely ride red!! i have had a few hondas in the past and have nothing but luck with them. great quads and dirtbikes. i decided to try out the z400 in 2003 because i heard nothing but good about them but no one really knew the reliabilty since they were new. let me tell you ive wasted close to 3k fixing and maintaig that puppy in alittle more than a year. so i went back to wat i knew and got the ex. i couldnt be happier with my choice.

The 400ex is indestructible. I had a 400ex with a white brothers slip on, no airbox lid, and rejetted. I raced a new z400 and they were a dead tie. I rode the Z400 and it didn't have much torque compared to my 400ex. What I don't understand is suzuki builds the z400 from scratch and they put that outdated quadracer swingarm on in. They are both good but I like the honda better!
