Well I am debating whether or not I should keep my Lonestar Swinger. It's standard length and has never been used and I'm debating whether or not I should sell it and get a 1.25" swinger or just keep the lonestar. I meen the damn thing has never been used and is in great shape but I was just going to go w/ the extra length for stability.

I say keep it!!! I had a standard length one on my 400EX! The 400ex does not need a longer one! The longer length will just make it less nimble!

For MX the longer swingarm is suppose to be the way to go.

The 1 1/4 longer swingarm is a great addition to the 400.Stabilty is increased with the additional length. For XC I say keep it.If you race MX then the shorter stance of the stock 400 will be ideal. Most racers in MX stay stock since you have more weight over the rear wheels.

well it looks like then if I don't seel this one on eBay I will keep it or trade someone for a Burgard standard length

Don't forget that if your run that +1.25" swingarm, you will have to run +1 A-Arms as well or your front to rear weight bias will be unbalanced. For me, this was the deciding factor on swingarm length since I already bought +2 +0 A-Arms. I can't justify buying new A-Arms all over again just for a little added stability.

If you have +0 arms like me, I say sell it, make a decent chunk of change and buy that Burgard or something similar ;) .

i have +3+0 Burgard Standard Travels and a Durablue +2+4 axle so I was figuring a little bit more length couldn't hurt.

I never changed a arm length.I never noticed a difference in handling, other than hill climbs.

what the hell does swing arm length have to do with aarm width ? the longer swing arm does not turn as well in the woods but it does help keep the front end down

you just quoted yourself.

anyway I think I'm going to go w/ an extended. Anyone want an LSR swinger for $425.00? I'll ship it free if you use Pay-Pal, otherwise its $25.00 to ship.
