300 w/400 carb 350x airboot question

How do you get the airboot stretched to fit the 400 carb????

boil it and put it on immedeatly. it will stretch easy and once its cool it will hold its shape

How long do you need to boil it????

It should only take a few seconds. I can't remember how long it took mine to soften up, but it was no more then 15-20 seconds. I only dipped the end of it it the boiling water.

do you have a bore kit for your 300?i put a 350x carb on mine and i lost a lot of low end throttle response.my bike runs better with the stock carb jetted for my motor.BIGGER doesnt always mean better.have a nice day:)

We are running 400 carbs w/ no problem, got great bottom end, i've heard of this about the 350 carbs before from a local. i do have mods though too :)

yeah i havent tried a 400ex carb but the 350x carb which is slightly bigger than the 300carb i couldnt get the response i like.mine is on the stock bore with a high compression piston and exhaust,thats bout' it.i may try a 400 carb later
