Can you adjust the chain tensioner too far....gets looser?

can you adjust the chain too Far? and then it starts to loosen up again? At which point does it start to loosen up again?


Mine is adjusted that the notch for adjustment is pointing all the way down to the skid plate.

the adjuster is a cam shape, so the tightest is at the top of the lobe, once you go past that, it will get looser
