WOW, What a youth race. There were mini quads everywhere. And yes there were some girls there. The mud was so deep it was really slick. I'm glad we made the trip.My 7 yr old son Michael rode really smart. He finished 3rd in class and 32 overall out of 65 riders with many of them twice his age and way better quads. But my son and I spent many well spent hours building it and he rode it to the fullest. I'm so proud. To me he proved he's #1 . What more can you ask out of a 1st grader! He was born to race! With all the young tallent I say the GNCC has many future pro's.

Congrats to all the youth ATV riders. And to Michael's buddy Cody Hill for the win in the 90cc Production class! Way to ROCK Codeman!

proud indeed. he rode well and stayed alert, made passes and worked himself to 1st with 3 to go i believe.

he said a few folks helped him and others in the woods and to them i say THANK YOU! great kids, great people...GREAT RACE! i wish the rain hadnt forced a change in the course, the original 2 1/2 mile track was awesome. it shows RP is taking these races seriously.

congrats to every kid who was there no matter how you finished.

So far this year my racing career has been far from good, but with my son racing (soon to be both sons) in the youth quads makes the long drives to and from the race really worth it. I had so much fun watching him and hearing his track stories after the race.. can't wait till the next race in SC. Anyway Great job Brent in your 5th overall!!! (And by the way the GNCC site has his name mis-spelled as Henice---Henke) Looks like the bone-stock Eton didn't do so bad.:macho

I watched the mini race and man those little guys hold the hammer down! It was really exciting to watch those kids out there giving it their all! They rode hard and dealt with the difficulties much better than most of us adults do as I didn’t hear any cursing or see anything get thrown. :blah: They just hopped off and started pushing to get out… :macho hats off the moms and dads of those kids for supporting them and teaching them to deal with difficulties.
The starts were perfect with only one turn over that I saw and coming into the corners they were all looking and watching for each other so they wouldn’t end up in a huge pile yet they kept their speed up too. It was awesome to see them out there tearing it up! They were covered from head to toe with mud and grass and looked like swamp creatures but they all had huge grins on their face!

I didn't here anything about someone braking there neck. But in the afternoon Nathan Gogno in the 2 stroke A/B class broke his colar bone. Poor guy, he is a very talented racer and he is going to be out for 6 weeks. :ermm:

I worked on preparing the race report tonight, and I should start posting by tomorrow night. With three races, it takes time to actually put some content to the the photos and not just post a forum photo gallery.

Did anyone see Jenks biff off the start? What was with that?

How about that mud? Any riders remember a couple of guys in cammo jackets helping them through the mud pit after the semi creek/broken up bridge crossing in the afternoon? That was fun I still have mud in my ears and nose haha. Some riders found a way around the mud pit but quickly rutted that out and began getting stuck. Around the 2nd or 3rd lap Ballance found a good way around the cluster in front of him. He just followed the road to the track for a little stretch. Genious, guess thats why he's on top huh?
