its called the map sensor.... in other words... it tells the TBI where the gas petal is. Mine is all haywire... so it always runs high, and floods alot. I know its probly goona cost a fortune to get brand new, and thats a parts that probly seldon goes out, so i wanna get it off a junk truck. its on the left hand side of the truck... right under the air cleaner. id get a pic for ya, but i dont got a camera.

its an 89 silverado. anything with a 350 in it would work... aka, silverado, sierra, suburban, stuff like that. i forgot aout the vortec stuff... so anything 88-95 would work i guess. im rpaety sure a 2500 would work, the engines in them are all the same.

its actually called a "Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP)Sensor"

Here is what the part looks like.

i will try to find another pic, that shows where it is in the engine.

Have you even priced one of those MAP sensors? They aren't that expensive and you can get them from just about any parts store, almost all of them keep that particular MAP sensor in stock because of the common usage for different models.
