I was doing a wheelie with my 300 and after I shifted into fourth and rode for a while I let the front end down, and when my front tires hit my boots slipped and downshifted to 3rd without the clutch, this has happedned like 2 ro 3 times since Ive had it. Will this cause serious gearbox damage? Thanks

the whole idea of shifting without pulling in the clutch is a widely debated issue- i say that using it certainly can't hurt, it can only help.

you'll be fine, but i'd advise doing it on a regular basis.

actually, u guys all are wrong. He is going to crash badly and his 4wheeler is goona go up in a cloud of smoke, and he will spend the rest of his life kicking himself... all because he didnt use his clutch to shift.... lol

nah, u wil be fine.

I used to **** all the time when I was up shifting. A coupld acidental down shifts won't hurt anything, but I was always advised on not downshifting w/o the clutch.

Actually theres many pro racers who dont always use the clutch while in the heat of a race. Keep in mind that these guys have new bottom ends and engines at their disposal whenever they need it so engine damage isnt of concern to them.

Just use your clutch when youre shifting man, thats why its there...

either bump start it by parking on top of a hill and goign down it in second then poping the clutch at the bottom or, started it in neutral, got it rolling, then pushed it into first
