chain tightning

how do you tighten the chain on a kawasaki kfx 400. and how much slack should their be. thanks

There is 4 bolts on the top of the swing arm.
loosen them with a 17mm socket and there should be an adjuster blolt at the rear of the swing arm.
Sit on the quad and check to see how tight the chain is.
Not sure exactly but I keep mine where you can slide two fingers between the chain and the little rubber pad.

Make sure you are sitting on it when you check the tension.
