Hey guys,
I know this is a 400ex forum and I know I will get alot of "ride honda only" but, there are no DVX 400 forums so I have to ask you guys. We go to the store to look for a weed wacker and this guy has an 04 DVX 400 for sale. Looks brand new, no mud, no dirt, nd he said there are about 15 hours on it. He wants $3900. Now I have my heart set on a 400ex cuz I know it will run for ever. But my dad thought this thing was pretty cool. The guy says it will go 86 MPH. I find that hard to beleive cuz the 450r only goes about 70. My question is, is it a good ATV? Does it have lots of problems? Is it a good price.

Thanks

That's a good price and they don't go 86! More like 70ish and the 450r goes abour 75ish.

well the DVX is the same quad as a Z400 and KFX 400. so yeah it's good. not as tough as the honda. weak frame and rear axle. But the motor has plenty of power, more then the EX. and the suspention and handeling is pretty close between those 2 quads. Plus it has reverse.

I am a honda man so I would get the EX or R but the DVX/Z/KFX is still a really good quad.

as for the posting in the wrong forum, there is a forum for the Z/KFX 400

well I just got a brand new 04 EX for $4100. I would go with the new quad for a few hundred more, but thats just me. I almost bought a used 03 EX for $3700, but somebody on this forum told me about pro cycle in springfeild, mo. I started calling local dealers and one of them got close enough to their price to keep me from driving the 7 hours. anyways I would call around to some of your local dealers and see what they can do on a 04 EX for you.
