you take out the plug on the bottum of the oil tank, then there is a small bolt on the right side of the engine (as your sitting on the quad the right side) right under the oil lines that drains that side of the motor, on the left side by the shifter theres another bolt to drain the transmission. you need to change the filter every time you change oil. it takes 2 quarts to fill it, i think. i run AMSoil 20w-50 synthetic in my 400

yeah its easy to do. you take off the cover thats right above the oil lines and take the old filter out and put the new one in.

I think that bolt on the right side by the oil lines is just for checking the oil level in the case. I don't think that it's for draining oil. I know the one on the left side by the shifter is the one your supposed use to drain the crankcase and trans.

Make sure you dont put the oil filter on backwards or you will wreck your engine. If you buy a Honda oil filter it will say right on it which way is "out" and which is "in"
