Here is the ramp that I've been working on in the last day or so. Let me know what you think so far and give me any pointers to make it better. I'm going to start putting in all of the braces tomorrow. Kind of modeling it off of the Rev. 1. Thanks to Jason1 for all the help so far!! Sorry for the crappy pics, couldn't get far enough away and have a free cheap digital camera.

Well here it's almost finished. I need to do the x-bracing in the back and slap a coat of paint on it. Should get the landing ramp done next weekend when I'm home. It has a little more kick to it than I really wanted, but we'll see how it goes!

I probably will put some more braces under there eventually, but I want to try it like this first. That mesh is all .5" thick and strong as heck. It took a lot of work to get it bent to the angle. I will probably end up putting some more braces in there for the heck of it though next weekend.

yeah looks like you did a good job, everything looks fine.

see thats not normal mesh we use for decking, thats wire for concreting.. which is actually made up of round stock bars all welded together. i would have a hard time beleiving those are half inch thick diamter pieces, maybe quarter inch or so sounds about right.

they might actually be alright just like that but it wouldnt hurt to get some 14 gauge 1x1s and weld in there in between all those to make sure....... why have it divit in when you can prevent it now ya know ?

I know what you guys are saying. I will put some more braces in the middle this weekend. That stuff on the top of it is actually aircraft runway material. It is extra stuff that was used as runways for aircrafts when the US would take over an area, they lay this stuff down for a temporary runway. I had it measured last night cause I knew there would be more questions about it. The part running up and down the ramp is pretty much .25 bar and the part running from side to side is like .5" flat bar and about 14 guage thick if you know what i mean. It's kind of hard to explain. It is very interesting stuff and should hold up well, but I'll double the amount of braces for safety and to simply make it last longer. Thanks guys!
