Ok after my last post, I have decided to widen my 450r as I have my 400ex. I decided to go with burgards since all that I have seen on here that have them are happy. Now the question is where to find them at the best price, and should I get +2 or +3?
Im leaning toward +3 for stability. I dont race so I have no limit on my width.

I also was considering using the G-Force axle in the rear.

Will I be ok with stock shock setup for a month or 2. I cant afford to send my shocks out till after its widened :(

on the Good side im only 135 lb's in full riding gear

C&D Racing (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/contact.php) will be the place to get them:)

Nothing against C&D but Pappy has them for a good price. Unless I'm an idiot and there's a connection. lol You would probably be fine with stock suspension for now concidering you're as light as a damn feather. I wouldn't just go as wide as you can. Stick with +2 or +3 with a 4/1 offset rim. You may want to look at a steering stabilizer for anything past +1's. IMO, that's all.

as for steering damper is that really neccessary, I find that once I ride more often I dont get tired as quickly.

I love my +2's on my EX but that just plain needs more power.

My 450 has the power my ex needs, but the EX has the handling my 450 needs. :(

i just got my +3+0 Burgards off of quadparts. He is a seller on eBay and seems to only deal w/ Burgard prodcuts. Mine are also nickle-plated. Payed 395 for em.

I been watching ebay as well but i'd rather use a reputable place to order from.

I've bought a few things from c&d and never had any problems, not to mention them being sight sponsors is why I asked them first.

I may shoot pappy a pm when I see him on to see how much he gets for them.

:eek2: What's up with that camber, damn! They say (jd and lonestar) that the 450r does not need +1 forward and they don't recommend it. Just another opinion.

Some people that dont jump as huge like there camber as that is. when its like that when cornering at hispeed you keep more the meet from you outside front tire flat on the ground.

I have decided since I dont race im going to go +3 burgards on my 450r. I wont be using offset wheels either, I dont race so there's no limit on my widtch. Also ordered a G-Force axle for the 450r thats on backorder till the last week of april so by then i'll have most the cash saved for the front end.

Then I can compare the Burgards to my lonestar race arms that I have on my 400ex.

C & D is the place to go for chrome or nickle finish. i try and keep bare arms in stock to pc for folks that want colors that either burgard doesnt do or for people that want something special like chrome uppers and pc'd lowers etc.

call and ask for dusty, if colby answers just yell real loud and hang up:devil:

how did you get them for $395 directly from burgard? on their site it says $450. Also with +3's will your front sit about even with your back end with an axle that is 4 inches wider?
