the youth series will feature a live engine start this year according to the GNCC promoters. (makes you wonder if honda is sponsoring the series, not suzuki ) :eek2: still won't allow >90cc though.

Are they gonna pull the quads and inspect them like they do the stock class? I know alot of people who put bigger pistons or motor kits and mods and I'm wondering what they are gonna do now. We're not going to make it to NC or SC so I guess we'll just wait and see what happens. At least we won't be driving 10 hours to have the kids be told they can't race because their Dad busted his butt to buy mods to give them the power that they need.

The live engine start is awesome though. Levels the field.

The whole 90cc thing kicks our butt too. We went big to run the GNC MX series and was hoping to go to Crawfordsville since it's close. But I don't want to get him nailed for not being 90cc. I guess I could put my daughters motor in his for that race.

Good to hear that for the Honda boys. It is a huge disadvantage for them. This will give the pulls a chance for a holeshot or atleast be way up front instead of dead last!. But Michael likes the dead engine start. It's a huge advantage for him. He practices Dead engine starts all the time. Because if you ace it your way up front and going into the hole shot either by yourself or maby just a couple of quads. With the live engine start you have to look at Safety. Now you have the whole line going into the holeshot together. It has it's ups and downs. But I'm glad for the Honda boys!
