'02 CRF cam ( Sparks aggressive ?? )
HRC cam
HotCam II

I ride trails and like the occasional drag race. I have a Dr. D slip-on, Sparks needle, 190 jet, HRC snorkel, HRC T, and the HRC lid. Which one has the best all around power? I heard the CRF is the best with more bottom and mid, but same top as HRC. Is this so? Need info ASAP!!!:eek2:

Before the 530 was built, i ran the sparks x6 and the crf 02 cam. since, i've sold both; however, i thought both were great combinations to push power in mid 40's and tq up a few points.

hope this helps.

You really cant go wrong with any of those cams, they are all great "drop-in" cams. I have the Stage2 HotCam and it really rips in my motor.

If you're looking to build your motor, you might look into the MegaCycle cam if you're planning on doing different valves, valve springs, etc. I hear really good things about it.....

i've heard you can get a BIG increase with a HRC cam, JE 13:1, and a fcr how true is this?

Those mods do bring the motor to life greatly. I have the Stage2 HotCam and the JE 13:1 piston.....great combination that makes great power from bottom to top. I'm getting an FCR carb very soon along with some porting to finish my motor so hopefully I will be reaping major benefits from these mods!

The HRC cam hurts the bottom end, but does great on the top end.

So, if the Dr.D does good for bottom and mid, will the HRC make for top end? Or, will the CRF (Sparks Aggressive) be better with the DR.D?

When your building a motor you want all you componets to work together, not agasint. So when your building a motor for torque you should get a torque Cam, a torque Port and poilsh, torque pipe, ect. This is was many engine builder have told me and thats what I have done to my 300 and its running with a 440ex(just a 440 and hotcam). Cam wise you should look into web cams, very good quliaty and customer service. JMO

When running the 12:1 or 13:1 piston is a rod recommended? I would think it would be but I don't see it in anyone signature.
