Ok im lookin at a yfz i might be buyin and it has the cam mod and the gytr high compression kit, is this gonna be alot faster? and also, will there be problems down the road with the high comp kit?

No, it won't be ALOT faster. You'll notice a little more power over stock but nothing serious. You shouldn't have problems down the road, I have raced mine a few times and practice every weekend for a good 4 or 5 months now and no problems.

Ok, thanks, i remember reading somewhere about changing pistons could lead to engine failure, so i thought id ask before i spent the money.

As long as you run race gas you'll be fine.

race gas being 92 octane or higher right?

With a 13:1 you will need to run higher than 93 octane.

93 is for the stock 11.9:1 compression, with 13:1 you need at least 50/50 race mix although alot of serious racers say not to mix gas at all, to just run straight race fuel.

where do you get higher than 93? How much is it, im not gonna be racin so i dont think i need to mix or whatever.

i get mine from my local citgo....110 octane....when he says mixing he is talking about mixing 93 and a higher octane fuel instead of running just straight race gas
