How many people think a 400ex, all stock except for a DG alloy front bumper, and a K&N Air filter, acn beat a Prarie 700 with a Penland pipe and big 25 inch tires?

can I ask why this question?

u want to compare a 350 pound sport quad to a 700 pound utility quad. IMO its not really a far race who ever wins like comparing apples and oranges

At first I though the utlility would win, but once I read over the post again and saw the alloy front bumper, I know the 400EX will win. WTF?

NO WAY!!!!:eek2: An alloy bumper, for real!?I didn't think they were selling them to the public yet:ermm:  The Prarie will win cause it has bigger tires:D

The Prairie would definently smoke the 400ex it would beat it off the line and be gone. You know what im gonna come race you with my Prairie 650 and show you the power of a V-Twin motor in action!

The DG alloy front bumper can make a Difference! As well as transform the EX! But my Prairie 700 is faster ;) ~coop

PS: I'm a fan of the EX those! You can beat the ergonomics, The Quad is Built like a Rock and even today it with stands the test of time! I would still recomend buying one for most riders.

i you put the prairie in 4wd it wont spin very much and it will be gone while your back there spining all over the place:blah: but that bumper will help with your spining prob:confused:

I have seen a 400ex try to race some big bore utes and it got whooped. Sorry, but these big bore bikes do have some get up and go...

you just have to give that 400ex some tlc, my 250r wouldn't get close to a banshee when it was stock, but i beat a 535 big bore on alchohol last weekend. All it would take to beat that prairie is a good race cam and a pipe. So overall what is the best quad? THE 400EX. Who want to ride a 600 lb quad anyway? You can jump a 400 100+ foot. don't believe me? I've done it. i'm not bragging, just don't be so sure that the EX is a weak quad.

Not calling anyone a liar, but I have seen 400ex's try to race 700 Kawasaki's and it doesn't turn out good for the 400ex. Heck, last year at Mud Nats I saw grizz's outrunning 400ex's. Like it or not those 600lbs. quads have some power.

See MudmonsterGrizz knows what he is talking about all you guys see a 4wd quad and think it is slow but this is not true in most cases they are faster the only 4wd big bore that i think is slow is the polaris sportsman 700 they just dont move and they are 150 lbs heavier than the prairie.

And what, exactly, is that? I'm searching and I just can't find it.

It's funny. You start a thread, even one as pointless as this, and there's no way to tell it is pointless until you, ahem, read a few posts into the thread. Then, like a car accident, you can't help but continue reading. It's just that compelling. Not the content mind you but the fact that you have a topic as inane as this.

Thats ok with me. The thread was pointless but I had to peek inside to see it.

later!

WOW just think if you add a alloy Grab Bar that would add about 10 more HP and maybe some Alloy Nerfs you wouldnt beable to handle it then with all that added Alloy HP:eek2:

I have an egg carton you can mount on the front. I am sure you should be able to get at least 150MPH with that major mod.

As it turns out this thread is like seeing your grandma naked, you don't want to look but you have to. I keep getting the email notices that somebody has replied, knowing that this is like the worst thread ever...but I feel compelled to come back...:ermm:

like i said in a previous post... with my 400 totally stock i beat a 650 praire pretty good, then right after that a guy on a 700 praire raced me and his front tire was about even with my rear tire on a drag race. this should help ya
