im curious to know...i was out at some drag races...and they had this kid out there...maybe 15 -16...his 400ex was smoking my brothers(raptor 660) curtis sparks exhaust jetted lots of mods)....banshees..(some alcahol) ....kfx700's decked out...all kinds of bikes just smokin them...he said he didn't have a 440 kit or nothing all i seen was a Big Gun race series exhaust...???any idea what he is running i mean it was sad.. i want was he has..lol i went out because i didn't believe it i had to see for myself

Did he say specifically that it wasn't a 440, or that he didn't have any big-bore or stroke at all? Technically, a 502 isn't a 440.

He could have a rev box, 16t sprocket, and 22" tires, that would give a lot of top end, and depending on the track length, top end would win the race, plus his weight made a big difference. If it was a 1/4 mile, he was probably topped out before the 1/8 and if he had more top end speed he had another 1/8 mile to pass them. All these ppl claim a quad to run 90 stock, bs.

i know its not every1 is not good riders..i could hang for a minute on the rapter...but then he just shoots off..im sure top end i might get him or come close.. well anyways we switched bikes just to see and OMG!! that bike runs like a spotted ***** ape haha...i won so i know its not the rider...well anyways he said he didn't have nothing i swore he was lying but he wouldn't ever tell...

I hate ppl like that, when they won't tell what you got. Who cares, if you won't say what you got you shouldn't be racin. I have seen some stout stock 400's, but it was more than likely built.

how long was the drag for? i race 300 ft and im running 14/39 gearing with 20" tires and im in 5th gear about 250ft down.....hes probably just a good rider.....i do well at drags with what i have and the internals on the motor are stock.

edit: woops nvm on that didnt see the post before where u rode it. that motor must be built.

100yards so yeah 300ft..lol...well everyone there new he was lying ...he was with his dad and he wouldn't say nothing just laugh ..i know the bike was bad ..he was pretty good...but like i said when i was on his bike he couldn't keep up...but some of them people did suck *****...haha....i know it didn't just have a big gun exhaust and jet...because they had other 400's like i think 416 and something else pretty good bikes that was the only ones really coming close...

yeah he had to have something,16t sprocket and 22 in tires,that would have been a dog off the line.something was definately going on.his sinister grin should have given it all away.

for 300ft i run 14/39 on a stock motor. works well for me. i was racin in the 400, 500, and 600 class and made it atleast a couple rounds in each of em.
