I was out riding today and put about an inch gash in the sidewall of my tire. It needs plugged, but can you plug the sidewall like that? And could i do it myself, is so what tools will be needed?

Usually big side wall cuts like that don't plug very well. They will get pulled back out.

I have one like that ! You'll have to take it off the rim and put a patch on the inside that's what I did. If that dosen't work you could always tube it!

or spend 150 and get some new ones all together

you are going to have to get a new tire. when you get a gash in your sidewall it is impossible to patch because when you glue the patch to the inside if when you ride you will hit bumps in the ground or when you gun it off the line to drag race the sidewall will flex either from a bump or rotational force. when this happens the patch and glue do not flex with the tire and the patch will come off causing a leak again.

If its on the side, side wall and not in the bend of the side wall it can be fixed. Lots of ppl will say it can't ut I have run several tires patched there. You just have to have someone fix it that knows what they are doing. It has to be patched from the inside, prepped right and glued good. As long as you let it set up before riding and run good pressure you will be ok.

What kind of tire pressure does everyone run?? I am trying to figure out a good setup without wearing out my tires too quickly.
