best big bore kit

Ok heres the deal.. im looking into buying a 440 kit for my 400ex but i dont know which ones the best... i can get a powroll 440 kit with new clutch springs for 376$$ and have my local shop do the work. i dont want one that is like over 600 dollars though. What do u guys suggest for the money?

I don't think it matters much. The only thing thats gonna make one better then the other is gonna be the porting job.

If you want a 440 kit just buy the IMS 440 kit for about 250. Then get a tc racing mx cam for 200. That will give you a good power gain.

If you are not going to do a Full 440 I would just get a 416 Piston, Cam, and save for a Carb. That would reallt add some Power. You could get a TC Racing Piston, ($120) TC MX Cam, ($205) and a 39mm FCR Carb. ($450)

Yeah, I have heard it isnt worth doing a 440 if you arent going to get a good cam, port job, and carb. That is why most 416's are faster.
