liquid gasket on side cases

i had the left side case off my 400 and and the gasket got thrown away and no one will admit to throwing it away. but i want to ride and the soonest i can get to the honda shop is like friday so i found some of that liquid gasket in my garage will it work? i put it on the cover that went over the starter gear last year and it wouldnt let the starter spin freely is it going to do the same thing with the cases?

Liquid Gasket should work. If you are gonna get a new gasket friday I wouldn't even worry about a gasket. Just don't ride it where rain can seep into your casing. Also park it in the garage.

make sure you don't cover the oil passages. It can and will cause major problems and will cost a lot of money to fix.
