Need help with 1990 lt250R purchase

found a 90 lt250 for about $2300 bucks around where i live. i havent seen it yet, but the guy says it bored .50 over and has pipes, ported, works front shock, ohlin rear. toomy pipes.

does this sound like a good deal. are there any problems with them. ive never owned a 2-stroke. are they reliable

also how fast are they, the guy says it will stay up with his banshee that he has. i want something that has more power than the raptor or ds.

u just bought a Ugo i think i friend had a LT and put 8 pistions in it in 3 months

First off, as my sig says, my LT is 100% original and it's still on the same pistons and bore. If your friend put 8 pistons in it within 3 months it sounds like a case of rider error. I've also owned 3 other LT's. The first one was stolen, the 2nd one has only been rebuilt once as has the 3rd one.

Secondly, to my knowledge Toomey never made a pipe for the LT's.

I think this guy is giving you bs. I wouldn't know about the Toomey, but i would think if anyone would know it would be guylt250r.

my 88 lt runs strong............i would say it is as fast as a raptor, or at least it feels as fast or faster.

and the lt seems to handle a little better than the raptor. I think my lt handles much like the 400ex. very stable.
