how did eeryone make money while doing their rebuild with no job i need money not a huge amount fast just like a few hundred $ by maybe the end of next month and im not sure how to get it at all i dont know what to do im relly lost on this and i cant get a job noone around here is hiring right now so what could i do to make money

Some people mow lawns, some people do odd jobs with neighbors. Some people work for their parents. It really comes down to "where there's a will, there's a way". It's pretty obvious you're not that determined, because if you were, you would be OUT finding opportunities, rather than sitting on the computer asking about them.

i live in nowhere land i dont even know my neighbors i have been trading and selling parts for money but im happy with what i have and ive ran out of options i can't mow lawns there is no grass now, and i can't work for my parents because they hate the quads. they will not give me any money towards it even if it is tghe money they give me they ask what im doing to get parts for my bike and i say the internet and trading now they wont even let me spend the money they give me on the quad so im totally stumped on it !:(

I just picked up a job recently, working on heavy equipment, (doing mechanics).

Finally got some money in. Its a great feeling.

If you want to get your quad done, im sure you can find a job if you look hard enough. For most of us younger people- Still in school, its hard working around school hours. No one wants to anyways after being in school for 6+ hours.

But keep your eyes open and ask around. Stop at places for applications and information.

Look on ebay. I've bough and sold things many times. I bought a pair of asr a-arm for a 400ex for $200 bucks basically brand new. No scratches in the powdercoat, heim joints good condition ect. I sold them the next week for $350 bucks. Look around to see if you can take advantage of anyones deals and make a nice buck!

yea i was going to do this deal with my buddy he would sell me his front axis vuz he knows i have been looking for a set theya re mint for 500 tiple rate comp adjustable i said ok i was going to borrow the monet from my parents resell them for 900 and get works and put some in the bank my dad says to tell him your reselling them and be honest now he only wants me to buy and keep them until race seasons over then i can sell them if i want otherwise he wants 850 for them im still thinking about it but hes one of my best friends and i know he wants me to ride on something worth riding on not works and he's looking out for me and trying to give me a deal but i dont have it so i want the money to buy them from him thats why im posting this whole thing :( i want shocks BAD!!!

nah build a quad keep it like new....if they havent went out of style subtract 2 grand off what you have in it and thats your asking price


i gurantee the money i put in my quad is the same money people blow on pointless garbage that they dont realize adds up, most guys are like **** it 20 bucks here and there i cant get nothing for that, instead of doing that i put it in my quad and divide up for saving money spending money then my spare money goes to my quad...some people are just more regimented than others

me ans 2 of my freinds who also cant find jobs have been hauling scrap metal on the weekends and during spring break and gunna get stuff lined up to do after school. its worth it now that scrap is up. tin isnt worth much but if you get old engines, cars, farm macherery and stuff like that you can get some money. right now we have more stuff to pick up than we can handle. we have 7 cars in one spot along with 2 combines that we will have to cut up b/c they wont fit on our trailer. and 2 more cars at a different location. also thier is a old house trailer we can have if we want. we havent decided on it yet though.

to the scrap yard but it wont be worth much. i didnt read everything so i dont know how old you are or if you have your licence but all you have to do is ask your freinds and family if they have any "good" junk sitting around you can have. when i say "good" i mean dense objects. cars, car engines,tractors.or alluminum cans, old car radiators also bring pretty good money. alluminum is good. a good sized car (3500 pounds) brings around 85.00 bucks. but take out the radiator and condenser first to sell as alluminum.also take the tires off b/c they will dock you for them b/c tires cost to get rid of.

I say you're screwed for money. Where did you get all this money to buy your 400ex and put all the money into it? I don't get that part...

Try what other people have said, get off the computer and go find a job. DON'T give excuses, just go out and do it. Walk around and find anything you can to make money. If that fails, start selling the stuff that you have on eBay and put it in a CD (Certificate of Deposit) good way to make a little bit of money.

You need money to make money.

i got the money to build my quad from selling the parts off of it like the custom axis LT raer shock that came with it and other stuff to get what i have on it now so thats how i built it to what it is now and as for money my friend is a mechanic and does work out of his house im going to see if i can take on a few of his jobs or help him he does amazing work like builds custom drag banshees and mx 250R's and such so im goinf to see if i can take on a few jobs from him :D

no man i usually get on only for about an hour or so a day and when i have extra time in computer apps like im in now and its mostly from selling stuff and helping people out i think my buddy who is the mechanic would give me some extra work for money he has more than anough to do and im pretty good i rebuilt my whole banshee motor from the ground up and it was a monster for a long time one of the fastest around here where i live and i just sis the topend in my 416 that was cake too im just starting to get into bottom ends cuz im thinking about cleaning mine up maybe the end o the summer if it doesnt go by then i redid the topend now i think it needs a bottom end it never ends but i should have checked it when it was out but i figured its a honda but imma talk to him later on tonight n see if i could try to help him out on a few bikes and for the fact that im bored with mine (when it isn't broken im bored of it ) i love the repair aspect of riding thats what i want to do for a living later in life i want to be a mechanic on recreational vehicles motorcycles and small cars and such so ill try this and it will also i guess gimme a heads up on what my fufture is to come MAN I HOPE HE THROWS ME SOMETHING TOUGH :D

Wow, I'm 13, have a full cast on my dominate right arm and I still manage to make money! I work with my uncle almost EVERY weekend making about 35-40 bucks every weekend. My dad owns a Heating & Air condtioning busniess, and I scrap out all the Junk units, Coils/radiators, copper and steel. I have made up to 150 dollars before.I think I make pretty good money for a 13 y/o. :cool:

I think you should forget the whole job thing and try and do better in school. By the looks of it, your English skills aren't the greatest and I think that's one of the biggest things you need if you want to deal with people and their machines later on in life.

Where did you get all this money to buy a 400ex in the first place, and a Banshee before? Something doesn't add up about all of this.

ok heres the story on how i ended up on the 416


first i moved to jackson from toms river cuz i was doing bad in school and my parents wanted more land once we moved here i started doing better and trying ( i had little friends in toms river) made friends started doing better met the 2 kids that got me into quads and dirtbikes(bill and tyler) they helped me build a blaster from the ground up since my parents wouldn't lay out the money for me until i got straight A's for 1 full year i sedscrew that you can keep your money ill do it myself ( im lucky if i get B+'s ) so christmas is around the corner i saved up 100$ to buy a roling chassis from my neighbor for a 2001 blaster it was mint !! bought it and with the help ofmy friends i was on my way building a blaster got it done and completed for about 800$$ and sold it for 1200 bought my banshee for 1500 and traded that for the 416 and now im selling parts and buying new ones for it thats why it is how it is most of the parts you see on that bike are used by members of this site ( aarms, front brakelines, shocks all around, bars, battery box, sprockets etc.. ) this site has helped me out ALOT in building the bike up for cheap so now im out of parts that will actually bring in enough money to be able to buy new aftermarket ones that are used so up to this point im stuck
